TV Fanatic: Scandal Review: Patriot Games
7. Cock That Gun, Harrison
Adnan Salif scares the pants off of Harrison. Literally.
I’m still a little confused about why he was so scared of HER he needed to borrow Abby’s gun, but if it means we get more sexy scenes with Harrison Wright, I’m good with that.
Vulture: Scandal Recap: The World Is Watching
+ 9,600 points to Lauren, the hardest-working woman in the White House, who is still caught in this Liv and Fitz affair. Closed, open — let her do whatever she wants to do with the door!
The A.V. Club: Scandal - “Ride Sally Ride”
In the midst of an episode that seemed to have lost track of its characters, Olivia expresses the feeling that she has lost track ofherself. That purpose that has so driven her—the call to service that has given her meaning—has so utterly destroyed her.
The Washington Post: ‘Scandal’ recap Season 3, Episode 11: Run, Olivia, Run!
Was it too much to expect that maybe Olivia would wisen up during “Scandal”‘s mid-season hiatus?
Abby: Harrison, you do not get to act all crazy just because everyone else here is. We are the normal ones… you and me. We need to borrow a gun, we ask. Also, why do you need it?
– Not much about Olivia’s mom in this episode, other than Jake promising to find her. You’d have to think that story will play a bigger role in the coming episodes, and that the show will try to further complicate the Pope family dynamics. There’s more to the story.
Grab your sunglasses and Advil. Because last night’s episode was mad real. After a two-and-a-half-month hiatus, “Ride, Sally, Ride” was a reminder of why we’re all still cliff-jumping, die-hard gladiators.
Despite all of these highlights, Olivia Pope’s father (Joe Morton), whom Twitter affectionately calls Daddy Pope, managed to steal the show with his scary Shakespearean speech to his daughter. After Fitz snatched his post as command of the supersecret operative B613, Daddy Pope issued a grim warning to Liv about the revenge he seeks. He said, in short: Your boo ain’t about this life, and neither are you, so run.
"Start grieving now. Rend your garments. Curse the heavens. But first, run," he warned. Eeek.

Their world is going to hell and Olivia’s smiling while kissing Fitz.
I love it.
These stupid idiots are going to drive me to drink.
#Scandal312 Promo Teaser Stills + Decoding Analysis
[Warning: This story contains major spoilers from Thursday’s episode of Scandal. Read at your own risk!] Mellie may often be an awful person, but even villains deserve a little love sometimes. Enter Governor Nichols (Jon Tenney), who was introduced in Scandal’s midseason premiere as Fitz’s new running mate now that Vice President Sally Langston (Kate Burton) is ditching the ticket to run independently. Nichols was Fitz’s (Tony Goldwyn) Deputy Governor in California, which means they share a long history.
Solidarity Is For White Fangirls Only: A look at the solidarity of white fangirls for white characters while crapping on characters of colour…
Thanks for posting this Lizzie! The amount of double-talk and even feigned support of WOC characters is frustrating. What’s even more frustrating is those who claim to bang the drum in support of WOC and think people aren’t picking up on the true substance and subtext of what they are saying. Sadly, some are fooled, but MANY are not.
