Take me back to the start.
For Scandal Season 3, I’m looking forward to more character developments for these dynamic gladiators in a suit.
I’m looking forward to a great blend of OPA and White House drama with more flashbacks. (Rowan and B613 has pretty much guaranteed this much, right?) Two seasons has barely touch the surface of these gladiators, right?
What are you looking forward to for season 3?
I look or hope that the cases are stronger this season and mix well with the White House drama. I want more episodes like Crash and Burn where everyone got to shine in their area of expertise and everyone looked competent and able to do their jobs.
I actually am rather intrigued by Rowan and what his presence means for the show and what it means for Olivia. I don’t think his involvement with her life with stop and I think the main conspiracy will involve him so that will be interesting to see.
I’m looking forward to more episodes like Crash and Burn with a mix of “A Criminal, A Whore, An Idiot & A Liar” where every character got their shine. (I forgot to throw in Alissa, Hollis, Sally, James, Tom & Hal in the photo collage.)
I think Rowan’s presence is going to lead a much bigger thing for Olivia. I hope it at least gives us insight on why Olivia is the way she is. It’ll be interesting to see all of this unfold in season 3.
We were promised more Harrison in season 3 and that’s what I’m most interested in seeing especially now that the press is onto Olitz. I’m looking forward to how Huck handles Baby Huck (Quinn)…and how Olivia tries to ‘fix’ OPA.
I’m also very interested in Rowan and what his character will reveal to us regarding Olivia’s back story. I also hope that we will get to see Olivia’s mother as well. I definitely want to know more about Harrison and I so hope he is not Olivia;s brother or something-I don’t want all the Black folks on Scandal to be related…lol. I kinda hope Dabby gets back together and what will become of Baby Huck…will she go further to the dark side? And I really want to see the OFC gang back together and working together to get Fitz re-elected. I want more nitty gritty national politics on the show and less mole and covert ops stuff and definitely want the case of the week stories to continue to be intertwined with the White House. As for Olitz…smdh…I want these two to be together working on implementing “the plan” that Olivia crafted and Fitz approved that will enable them to be together as POTUS and FLOTUS.
Harrison has consider Olivia family and that would be all sorts of Oh really if they are related. Come on now - Rowan is Liv’s father and Harrison’s brother from another?! Just nope! NO! If Morris is family too though? LOL! But I digress! I want OFC to work together on Fitz’s re-election process. I enjoyed watching that OFC dynamic in during The Trail, Happy Birthday Mr President, and A Criminal, A Whore, A Liar and An Idiot. Considering that Rowan is head of B613 what if her mom is non-politically affiliate hard working, go-getter person?! My theory is that Liv’s mom walked away from Rowan because he picked his career over his family. This is clearly the reason why she went Dad?! I want more cases and I think Fitz’s re-election is going to open a can of worms. What if Fitz is not as clean as Olivia and Cyrus all believes he is? Great thoughts, SG!

I just don’t want another round of Fitz being a horrible and awful person. We have enough of that in the present I don’t want to add another thing on his list of things he’s done wrong. And I also think after murdering a Supreme Court Justice that Cyrus and Liv know that he isn’t clean. I am interested in Operation Remington but if it make Fitz a war criminal or some other stuff I’m just not down. Especially if it is to make someone look good in comparison. Nope.
Scandal Moments, I really think the re-election is going to open up so many issues and I can’t wait. Also I saw Nikki say that Kerry during the concert at Lehman College alluded to the fact that Edison/Norm Lewis will be back on the canvas. I am so not surprised and I would love for Edison to be Fitz’s Democratic opponent in the election. As for Liv’s parents, I tend to think that once Rowan got into B613, he left his family knowing he would put their lives in danger. I think this plays into and may be the foundation of Liv’s abandonment, everyone disappoints you and leave issues that she confessed to Huck in the 752 epi.
But Milton, I think we will get more bad ish on Fitz for real because everything Cyrus alluded to about Operation Remington alluded to Fitz committing war crimes and I think these crimes or actions in war is part of the reason that Jake has hidden resentment issues with Fitz.
I’m with you on the re-election opening up so many issues. That is what I’m looking forward to.
Edison as Fitz’s running opponent should be interesting considering all that happened this past season.
On surface it’s just a presidential re-election but it’s going to dig deeper into Liv’s character (since Olitz is ‘outed’), OPA, and people’s (ie. Fitz’s entire administration) agendas. Look at #WhoisQuinn lead the way for #WhoShotFitz, #DC5, #ThornGate, #DadPope, and #Defiance.
How is Sally going to handle this re-election despite Cyrus telling her to be by Fitz’s side? Is she going to actually do that or is she going to try to run for office? Look at how she handled #WhoShotFitz?
The media’s going to dig and dig. Is Reston going to re-appear? Was THAT the last we’ve seen of Billy AND Charlie? Then there’s David Rosen and his White Hat.
How is Cyrus going to handle this re-election on top of Olitz outed, B613 and Rowan??
I could see Edison being the one who outed Olivia as the mistress because Mellie confirmed his suspicions and he uses that to run for President against Fitz. I don’t think Reston is out of the picture either and I wouldn’t be surprised if Reston frames Edison for something or digs up something for him so he loses the primary.
^^^^Man, I am loving all these scenarios above…there are so many stories, twists and turnsto be crafted and I hope we get truly compelling, intellectually intriguing and gripping story lines in season 3!!!
Gladiators I think we just wrote season 3…without the need of a love interest to push the plot forward! (Just my Two Cents!) This is compelling TV. (Just my opinion!)
I can definitely see Reston coming back in the fold and working with Edison. That’s scandalous and Reston is a man scorned by Defiance. He’s not going to rest. He may be our Billy Chambers this season! Would it be reaching if Reston works with Sally? She’s a woman scorned too. She ran for office and she got VP instead. She’d jump at a chance to run things.
In spite of all THIS we’ll still have to see how Cyrus juggles WH duties with James & Ella. (Will they adopt another baby in the middle of the re-election process? Will James be the one to dig into Olivia’s past? Will this cause a rift between him and Cyrus? Just thinking out loud here.)
We’ll still have OPA and how they’ll handle Olitz being outed while being a top-notch crisis management firm in DC. Will past OPA clients pop up because Olitz is outed? Will previous OPA client re-think how they look at Olivia because of this? Will previous OPA clients pop up to defend Olivia? ie. Lisa Eldestein’s character.
We’ll still have Baby Huck and Huck’s 752 relapse (although I’m over the latter part of that sentence.) We’ll still have to face the fact that Olivia has to either up security at her apartment or move (LOL!). Will we ever see a glimpse of Karen and Jerry? (Although is that really a factor at this point?)
And what would be Fitz’s re-election platform? Will we see Kim (Huck’s wife) again? What about Becky? Is that story arc over?
I want Fitz to follow through on his plans with Olivia.
Also Olivia’s gut. #WWOPD

What are you looking forward to for season 3?
Well, if I were watching and/or started back watching, it would be because S3 finally gave Harrison something to do other than looking fly and spinning his phone. It’d be because they got writers who could write well plotted conspiracies without the abundance of plotholes. I’d look forward to the whole “Fitz is weak/a child” meme dying. I’d look forward to Olivia squaring away trite daddy issues because I wouldn’t want b613 story to last forever (sounds too much like Revenge Initiative bs). I’d want Abby to be more fleshed out as well. I’d look forward to ending the wash/rinse/repeat by Fitz getting a damn divorce and bettering himself with or without Olivia. I’d also look forward to the Mellie speeches being pulled back, because her ineffectual screeching is not the business. It’s overused now. Also, I would look forward to everything not going Cy’s way at the end of the day (the again, odious people tend to stay winning).

Harrison has lead the charge at OPA when Olivia’s not there but that’s the just the surface of Harrison. Yes he was a confidante to Olivia, Abby, Huck and Quinn at different points in both seasons but I want to learn more about him…and it doesn’t have to be with involving a romantic interest to push this forward. (IMO). Given the fact that Harrison had plenty of opportunity to shine in the first half of season 1 before it got lost (sort of) in the #WhoShotFitz/#WhoisQuinn storyline and such (IMO), I’m going to believe that it’s because his backstory is heavily tied in with Olivia. I’m guessing that’s why much hasn’t been revealed about Harrison. You can’t break down his story without touching into Olivia’s backstory. (My guess!) After all Harrison coined the term “Gladiator in a Suit” and he was the one that told Olivia that he’s her Gladiator. I hope that Olivia giving Harrison the two folders paves the way for him to be THAT person in S3. Great thoughts, Nikki.
