Kerry Washington shares her joyful thoughts to THR on her AMAZING fashion stylist, Erin Walsh: “We Were Fashion Twins Separated at Birth.” Erin Walsh made The Hollywood Reporter’s Hollywood 25 Most Powerful Stylists list!

Since last spring, Erin and Kerry have collaborated to create special fashion moments on the red carpet. It’s great to see that it’s a team effort and they get along so well. KW’s red carpet swag is like no other!

How the dynamic duo met:

New York City-based stylist Erin Walsh got her start assisting Vogue editor Phyliss Posnick. She was introduced to Django Unchained star Kerry Washington last spring by Elle fashion director Samira Nasr. 

Erin Walsh on her top Kerry Washington look:

“The pony dress!” says Walsh, referring to the theatrical white horse-patterned Giles gown that Washington wore to Django’s London premiere. “It was Django-inspired,” says Washington. “We always ask ourselves whether something’s a fashion moment — and we definitely like to think outside the box.” Other major style moments included the actress’ pink-and-aqua Oscar de la Renta with a rise-and-fall hemline at the NAACP Image Awards and her Oscar stunner: a custom coral-red Miu Miu gown with a heavy dose of Swarovski crystals.

Kerry Washington on working with Erin Walsh:

“We’re very collaborative. I feel like we were fashion twins separated at birth. We come up with stories for a particular season or a particular press tour.”

Erin Walsh on working with Kerry Washington:

Walsh says that story is told with their choices.

“In terms of narrative — that goes into silhouette, texture, cut — making distinctions and having each moment,” she says. “We use that word a lot: ‘moment.’ “

Adds Washington, “Is it a fashion ‘moment’ or not?”

Kerry on the gorgeous Giles gown she wore to the Django Unchained London premiere:

This huge, gorgeous gown with these horses that I wore for the London premiere of Django [Unchained],” Washington says. “Because the movie is all about Jamie [Foxx] saving me on these white horses, it seemed perfect in every way.”’

How Long Has Jake Ballard Been Watching Olivia Pope?

On Twitter I had a great tweet chat with Gladiators on this question. How long has Jake been doing this favor to Fitz? (This will of course explain Jake’s fascination with Olivia. He’s been the one doing the video surveillance. Tom’s the one doing the photo surveillance. Tom’s team keeping his boss happy!)

But I digress….

Fitz gave Gladiators a heads up about this when he said the following…

I never should have asked Tom to call you. 

And here’s what Jake said back to Fitz…

If you don’t mind me asking we made the jump from photo surveillance to video surveillance. 

Knowing this it’s safe to say that Jake has been watching Olivia since BEFORE Fitz learned about Defiance. Hat tip to Ale who pointed out Fitz and Jake haven’t seen each other in years and they’re now seeing each other twice a week. So Jake’s new to this surveillance game and he’s already ‘smitten’ by Olivia Pope. (Anything is possible!) This of course puts much perspective into Fitz’s “I watch for you” line from the Rose Garden scene, does it not? We all know he had Tom on photo surveillance of Olivia too. (Tom delivered the photos of Olivia with Edison during Fitz’s pre 50th birthday hoopla way back in “Defiance.” I might also add that this is the last Fitz saw Olivia before #WhoShotFitz happened.)

We also know that Cyrus used Thorngate to get photos of Olivia with Edison that he personally pass along to Fitz. (Peep “Hunting Season” ) You gotta love how you can watch one episode of Scandal again and you still manage to catch something new, right? (These photo surveillance updates is how Fitz learned about Olivia’s relationship with Senator Edison Davis.)

So to answer the question - there’s no clear estimate on how long Jake has been doing this favor for Fitz. Anything is possible!

Didn’t this #Scandal moment make you ask yet again – “Who is Quinn Perkins?” Quinn was too much of a natural in this moment even Huck had to tip his hat off to her. Guillermo Diaz did however give Gladiators a heads up about this moment. In fact, Guillermo said to TV Guide that Huck’s going to take Quinn under his wings. “Huck has taken her under his wing and he’s teaching her the ropes, and she wants to learn,” Diaz tells TVGuide.com. “And she’s really good at it.” Get ready, Gladiators!

Didn’t this #Scandal moment make you ask yet again – “Who is Quinn Perkins?”

#Scandal - “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” Analysis - Signs that Fitz Does NOT Want To Be Bother Fitz in the shower scenes from “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” clearly didn’t want to be bother, especially the first shower scene. Apparently this memo was lost on someone who felt that he needed a morning pick-up. (Sex is not always the ice breaker for communication.) I’m no body language expert but in the first shower scene was Fitz basically being saying “I do not want to be bother.” I don’t know about you but bathroom time is me time. It’s the only time you’re actually left alone to your thoughts. (You know it’s real when that morning pick-up fails to do its job.) Clearly Fitz does not want to be bothered.  And here’s my list…  Whiskey first thing in the morning. (To numb his thoughts.) He’s standing under the shower head, lost in his thoughts. “Do you have it or not?’ (Code for: I rather you just give it that and leave.) Scandal Analysis – Stevie Wonder’s “I Don’t Know Why” Played the Second Fitz Saw Olivia.

The second Fitz saw Olivia, his whole world just focus solely on her. He drank in the sight of her in that croc green MaxMara skirt suit. He just couldn’t stop gazing at the love of his life. It’s the first time Fitz and Olivia have seen one another face to face since Fitz (who was told by Verna about Defiance) said what he said to Olivia at Verna’s funeral.

Before Gladiators could figure out what song was playing in the background Fitz and Olivia seem to have block out the world for one minute.

The first melody of Stevie Wonder’s I Don’t Know Why kicked off when they held Baby Ella for her christening ceremony. 

 This song accurately fits this scene leading up to #ClosetGate. The lyrics picked up the minute Olivia and Fitz were basically undressing each other as they held Baby Ella during her christening ceremony.

“I don’t know why but I love you” is precisely what Fitz is thinking looking at Olivia and the same for Olivia looking at Fitz.

So what did Fitz do after he saw Olivia slipped out of the reception for Baby Ella?

Here’s where the episode title “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” ties in -

He tossed back that glass of whiskey and proceed to chase her down the hallway.

Then they did a passionate tango in the closet. This moment ignited a intense “WTF/OMG”  reaction across the board on Twitter, did it not? As in WTF did that just happened? Yes it did and it has happened before.

Here’s the thing Olivia and Fitz don’t do normal. Peep the Camp David scenes. the “If I say yes would you stop talking about the campaign trail for the next 20 minutes?” scene and their first love scene back in “The Trail” for further evidence. They are passionate individuals. That’s just how they roll.

 Fitz can tell Olivia that they are done until he’s blue in the face but they are never, ever going to be done. Fitz and Olivia’s feelings for one another fits this line from the song:

No I never, I never knew 

How much love could hurt

Until I loved you baby

Till I loved you baby, baby

Oh baby, I can’t stop 

They probably thought they knew what love is before they met one another but they do know.
