Scandal Season 3 stock photo production in Georgetown, DC with Merri Howard. (Pictured collage is stock photos of OPA headquarters and Fitz’s W.H. from previous seasons.)
While “Scandal” has never been as bad as “Homeland” when it comes to portraying D.C. realistically, some of those scenes that are clearly green-screened in front of the White House are simply jarring. But perhaps season three will be better, as a crew from Master Key Productions was in town Tuesday doing some background shooting for the hit ABC series, which stars actress Kerry Washington.
So where can we expect to see some real D.C. spliced into episodes of “Scandal?” Most importantly, they took shots in front of the White House. In addition, according to the D.C. Office of Motion Picture and Television Development, crews captured Connecticut Avenue from K Street up through Dupont Circle and, finally, Seventh Street NW from the Archives Metro station, through Chinatown, to the Convention Center. - source
Interesting convo with Scandal Prop Guy George. Apparently Fitz DID smile in Mellie’s lap and it’s STRATEGIC.
Very interesting conversation indeed.
Well THAT’S the silver lining, huh?!
[Warning: This story contains spoilers from Thursday’s “White Hats Back On” episode of Scandal.] Holy Scandal reveals, Batman!
During Thursday’s season two finale of ABC’s breakout hit Scandal, the Defiance team welcomed a shocking new member as Olivia was forced to make a heart-breaking decision about her relationship with Fitz.
Meanwhile, Quinn further explored her dark side as the mole’s identity and motives were revealed with a familiar face returning to challenge President Grant in his re-election campaign, setting the stage for the third season of the fast-paced political drama. Here are the TK major reveals from the episode.
1. Olivia (Kerry Washington) has a very Star Wars moment, finding out that Rowan (Joe Morton) is … her father! (Dun. Dun. Dunnnnnn.) And what a father he is as the head of B613 who gives a sex tape of his daughter with Jake to Cyrus in order to screw up Fitz’s relationship with her. Daddy knows best?

Scandal fans got a special treat during the unveiling of ABC’s new fall programming this week with an exclusive sneak peek at the show’s explosive season finale. Trust us, something shocking is about to happen to Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and it goes way beyond the White House mole Pope’s “Gladiators” have been hunting down (and whose identity will finally be revealed!). But, let’s face it, what we’ve all really been waiting to see is what will happen between the steamiest twosome on TV, Olivia and Fitz, now that their affair is going public. Luckily, Scandal’s brilliant costume designer Lyn Paolo gave us some inside scoop on tonight’s finale—and a lesson in power dressing! Contrasting last week’s darker tones, Paolo told us you can expect to see her in lighter hues. “It has been a long time since she has been this certain of her relationship with Fitz and suddenly we are back in lighter suits,” she told InStyle.com exclusively. Case in point: The pale blue Armani jacket over a cream Natori shell Olivia wears in her office (above). In true Scandal fashion though, nothing is as it seems and, “by the end of the episode, Olivia is a gladiator in a white Tom Ford jacket with crisp clean lines and a tight clasp holding in her mid-line,” Paolo said. “Her waist is accentuated and her shoulders look broad enough to carry any weight.” The weight of the presidency no doubt. Cliffhangers somehow seem easier to take in Tom Ford. Tune in to Scandal tonight at 10 p.m. EST on ABC for the dramatic season finale. We. Can’t. Wait.

On ABC’s hit show Scandal, Bellamy Young plays the most powerful woman in America! And as we often see on the political drama, this ambitious First Lady doesn’t hold back on using that power! Having had enough of being caught in an entangled love triangle, Young’s character of First Lady Mellie Grant recently shook things up in the White House with a shocking move that only further led the series to live up to its title. What the implications will be from Mellie going public about her husband’s infidelity is something even Young says she can’t begin to imagine as Scandal has been known for taking unexpected routes and surprising viewers with twists on every turn.
‘Sit down Mellie!’
‘Let’s do this’
Everyone’s shocked expression of this dominant Fitz except for Olivia who has her ‘that’s my man I know and love’ face is just the best ;)
I’m going to enjoy this moment from White Hat’s Back On. Fitz’s in with DC5? I’m down with ALL of this. And that kitchen is going to see a whole lot of scandalous action…
